Tristin LaNay (Carlton) Toler

Tristin LaNay (Carlton) Toler, beloved mother, devoted daughter and loving friend, passed from this life on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Searcy. She was 38. She was born February 25, 1984 in Searcy. Tristin's motto "I'm Living My Life to the Fullest" was a very accurate portrayal of her; she indeed lived to the fullest. She enjoyed music, dancing, concerts, beach trips but most of all she loved being a mother to her two beautiful children. Tristin was devoted to the medical field for 20 years, starting at the Central Arkansas General Hospital Emergency Department and later working at Unity Health for many years. In 2019, she joined the Cabot Emergency Hospital and was instrumental in the planning and training to open the facility. In this role she served as a very experienced clinical nurse leader as charge nurse, utilizing her extensive experience in the emergency department and her ability to support various disciplines of the healthcare team. She served on the facility charge nurse committee, responsible for identifying workflow revisions and representing the department team members. Many would say that Tristin was a veteran of the ER. She has taught countless new nurses as well as other disciplines to include respiratory and radiology. She was a “go to” for help and was the leader of the team in emergency situations. She was a phenomenal nurse; one that was dependable, compassionate to her patients, and one who could take charge of a critical situation very quickly. She could manage a very critical patient with both grace and confidence that patients and family members immediately knew they were in great hands. Dr. Justin White termed her as a confident, take charge nurse… “one of the best nurses I have ever worked with in my career.” Tristin is survived by her 2 children, Lakyen Toler and Easton Kyle Toler; 2 step children, Hayden Toler and Avery Toler; mother, LaDonna Henry (Lonnie Humphries); father, Keith Carlton; brother, Keith "Buddy" Carlton, Jr. (Sara Brown); bonus mom, Patty Carlton; best friend and confidant, Hannah Lumpkin and a multitude of good friends and members of her medical family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, D.W. and Georgia Sweet and Fred and Hester Carlton; uncles, Kelly Carlton and J.L. Carlton. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
