Barbara C. Williams

Barbara Carol Williams, resident of Cabot, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 in Searcy at the age of 64. Mrs. Williams was born April 7, 1944 in Little Rock, the daughter of George and Gladys Marie Hill Snyder. She attended school at Mount St. Mary's before graduating from North Little Rock High School. She was a faithful and spiritual woman and was a member of McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville. Barbara was a Realtor for over 32 years, receiving numerous awards and being a life member of the Million Dollar Awards of Excellence. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, the Arkansas Realtors Association, where she had served in various positions. She was a member of the North Pulaski Board of Realtors where she was a past director. Barbara was a past Chairman for the Girl Scouts Association and was affiliated with the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. She served on the Cabot City Planning Commission and was a charter member of the Cabot City Beautiful Committee. Barbara was a past President of the PTO, she has always been active in PTO from her children to her grandchildren and had just recently been given an award from the PTO. She gave generously of her time, was unselfish, and always gave to her family, friends, and clients. She was the President of the Crooked Pinky Club. She treasured her relationships with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bill Williams; a son, John Williams of Cabot; a daughter, Deb Staley and son-in-law, Robert Cargile of Searcy; three grandchildren, Jordan Staley and Jenna Staley, both of Searcy and Nicole Williams of Cabot; two nephews, Eric Hammons and Alex Hammons, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Laura Hammons. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of Baptist-Springhill, White County Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital. They would also like to thank Amanda Cowell of the White County Home Health and Apria Health Care.
