Bobby Lee Hearn

Bobby Lee Hearn, 87, of Judsonia, Arkansas gained his heavenly wings on August 7, 2024 with his loving daughter, Tateyanna, and son in law, Nathan, by his side. He was born April 18, 1937 in Judsonia, Arkansas to the late Dewey and Ruth Hilger Hearn. Bobby was a loving husband, father, poppa, and brother. He was a 1955 graduate of Judsonia High School. After high school he served his country by joining the United States Army. Bobby was active in his community by serving on the city council, the cemetery board, and the city water board. He contributed to the community for 28 years by owning and operating Hearns Market, where he knew his customers by name and considered them friends. He was a member of the Judsonia Downtown Church of Christ. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan. His hobbies throughout the years have included traveling, golfing, and enjoying a game of cards. Bobby cherished the times he got to spend with his daughter and granddaughter. Olivia treasures the memories she has of sitting in poppa’s lap, reading books, eating emmies aka M&M’s, and sharing his coke slushes. Bobby’s girls, Barbara, Tat, and Olivia were the joy of his life. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tateyanna (Nathan) Alderson, his granddaughter, Olivia Sims (Brayden) Pylant, two sisters, Linda Hearn (Richard) Rasmussen, Carole Hearn (Engstrom) Howard. He is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara Slayton Hearn, his grandson, Brayden Glenn Sims, three siblings, Marguarite Hearn (Denver) Leasure, Harold (Betty) Hearn, and James Lewis (Johnice) Hearn. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas with Brother Matt Clifton and Jerry Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow services at Evergreen Cemetery in Judsonia, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Aaron Sanders, Gary Veach, Donald Loy, Jamie Schmidt, Tim Pace, and Robert Loyd. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Children’s Home Inc, 5515 Walcott Rd Paragould, Arkansas. A faith based, Christ centered organization in which Bobby was active in supporting. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob – Judsonia.
