Clayton Todd Jackson

Clayton Todd Jackson (51) of McCrory, Arkansas departed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at his home. He was born December 21, 1971, in Jackson, Tennessee; the son of Kathy (Jimmy) Flake of Bradford and James Jackson of McCrory. Clayton was a graduate of McCrory High School and on September 6, 2009, he married the love of his life and best friend, Tina Jackson. He was a member of Pumpkin Bend Community Church. He was employed as a truck driver for Walmart Transportation and Cain Auction. Clayton loved spending time in Mt. View and going on vacation in Gatlinburg. He enjoyed his eleven grandbabies more than anything else in life. He was the best papaw in the whole world. They always knew papaw would say yes to whatever they wanted. Clayton always put everyone else’s needs before his own. He would do anything for anyone in need. He was his family’s superhero. Clayton also enjoyed reading all his get-well cards he would receive in the mail and looking at the pictures his grandbabies drew for his window after he got sick. He enjoyed watching his son coach football and text him during the games about how he thought he should be coaching and how crooked the lines on the field were. Bug enjoyed papaw coming to eat lunch with her at school and loved that her papaws world revolved around her. Cali and Cari enjoyed going to church with him on Sundays and learning about the lord. Oaklyn always loved crawling up in papaws lap sharing bananas and Papaw holding him while they sang in church. Papaw loved to get in the floor and play with Kaylon and Karter. They would climb all over him, but he never told them no! He was so excited when he would get a new grandbaby. Clayton loved his family more than anything else. He loved unconditionally. He raised three stepsons like his own. They weren’t his stepchildren in his heart, they were his sons and he raised them to be exceptional men along with his daughter, Sydney. He always enjoyed Chris’s calls, telling him how Oliver was learning new things. He was excited about his newest grandbabies, Lennon and Kourtland. Clayton enjoyed running Abel to the concession stand at Bug and Cali’s games. Papaw got a big kick out of Case getting on his tricycle and trying to run away to Mimi and papaws house. Wade and Noah have so many memories with Clayton, we couldn’t write them all down, we would be here all day. We are so thankful for his friendship with Trent and Mark. He was preceded in death by; Grandma Tiny, Grandpa Collins, and Grandma Jackson. He is survived by; his wife, Tina Jackson of the home; his four sons, Wade Fitts and children, Addison and Abel of McCrory, Daniel (Micaela) and children Kaylon, Karter, and Kourtland of McCrory, Noah (Katlyn) and child, Oaklyn of McCrory; Chris (Hannah) and children Oliver and Lennon of Austin; his daughter, Sydney (Trent) and children Case, Cali, and Cari of McCrory; his parents, Kathy Flake and James Jackson; his grandpa, James Jackson; Sisters Casandra of Washington and Tonya Thompson of Jonesboro; brother, Jason Jackson of Hazen; and a host of aunts, uncles, and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pumpkin Bend Community Church in Pumpkin Bend, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are; Wade Fitts, Daniel Fitts, Noah Fitts, Chris Jackson, Trent Hopkins, Mark Cain, Joey Cain, James Jackson, and his friends at Walmart Transportation. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pumpkin Bend Community Church.
