Donald Lee Rouse

Donald Lee Rouse, 75, of Romance, Arkansas joined our Lord and Savior in Heaven on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy. He was born November 23, 1949 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Fletcher Alvin and Estelle Roberson Rouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Arby Ann Henson, Jackie Gene Rouse (Sylvia Perkins), Charlie Edward Rouse, Helen Goodwin and Helen “Shirley” Marie Smallwood; his grandson, Donald Fletcher Rouse; and a nephew, William Edward Rouse. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Deborah Pearl Rouse; his children, Rhonda Maxwell (Tirl), Crystal Moses Rouse, and Donnie Lynn Rouse; grandchildren, Haley Spangler (Corey), Cody Weeks (Chasity), Alex Holland (Tara), Andrea Greer (Kyle), and Madison Gray (Chance), Mason Moses; great grandchildren, Connor, Colt and Carter Weeks, Denice, James and Easton Holland, Faeryn and August Spangler, Gracie Lee, Faith, Hope and Kyle Jr. (KJ) Greer and River Lee Gray; siblings, Arthur Clinton Rouse, Wanda Rouse, Betty Ruth McGinty, Artie Mae Woodle, James Fletcher “Jimbo” Rouse (Kathy), Marsha Diane “Susie” Dunkan (Jimmy), Janice Marie Stevens (Jimmy), Burnis Clinton Rouse (Beth), Allen Wayne Rouse (Donna), Brian Marcus “Mark” Rouse (Peggy). He is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends. Donald was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.He was a proud Navy Veteran and served in Vietnam. Donald retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. He devoted his life to working hard and taking care of his family and friends. He loved riding horses, playing poker at the Elks Lodge, and spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and always on the move doing something. He was straight forward and said what he thought, he had a huge heart and helped so many people. He was one of a kind and had a personality you would never forget. He will be missed by so many and anyone that knew him was truly blessed. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with visitation beginning at 10:00. Interment, with military honors, will follow in the West Point Cemetery, near the West Point Community.
