Donna Arlene Dewitt

Donna Arlene (Hubach) Dewitt, 53, of McCrory, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Unity Health Hospital in Searcy. She was born August 28, 1963 in Searcy to the late Jimmy Hubach and Estelle Cullum. She was of the Church of Christ Faith having been born and raised at the Judsonia Church of Christ and then having moved to McCrory she attended the Church of Christ there. She worked at the Kennon Farms, Trucking, and Furniture for 27 years; before that she worked for C&L Trucking. She then started her own company in 2000 called Compliance, Inc. as a transportation consultant. Now her son Dillon has taken over the day to day operations and continues her trucking company legacy, which began when she was just 16 years old. She had a love for her animals especially her dogs, Dapple, Sissy, Deuce and Dominique. Donna always had something going, whether she was shopping on eBay or buying new high heels. Even when she was on bed rest she was working. Clothing and style she was famous for. She never went anywhere that she didn’t have her hair, makeup and the new stylish outfit on. People really never knew she was sick because she had such a big heart and caring attitude that she never let on anything was wrong. She is survived by her son, Dillon Dewitt (Hannah Rodgers) and brother, Delton Perrodin; and one grandson on the way, Cameron James Dewitt; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billy Hugh Dewitt; and her special friend, Mack DeFoor. The family would like to send a special thanks to Unity Health Care and all the nurses that took such great care of Donna, Summit Hospice for the wonderful care in her last days, and everyone who helped with her care before she become so sick, those who drove her to the doctor visits, all the food that was prepared for her and the family, all the churches that offered up prayers of comfort, and those who have donated to the benefit fund and all of her friends and family for being there always. The family would also like to thank the McCrory Flower Shop for the family flowers they are making. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Donna and Dillon Dewitt benefit at Merchant and Planters Bank. Visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with the services following immediately at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
