Dora Dean Wilf

Dora Dean (Gordon) Wilf passed peacefully from this earth on June 21, 2026, after spending her final weeks surrounded by family and friends. Born to JB and Veta Mae (Henderson) Gordon on July 15, 1942, Dora Dean was the middle sister to Verna Mae Love and Patti King, who she loved dearly. On October 7, 1961, Dora Dean married the love of her life, Jeff A Wilf. Dora Dean was a loving mother to Jason Wilf, Tim Wilf (Melinda) and Jake Wilf. She celebrated being Nana to her grandchildren: Blake (Mckenzie) Wilf, Landen (Shalynn) Wilf, and Lacey Wilf. She adored her great-granddaughter, Saige Wilf. She cherished time spent with her special friends, Karen Webb and Linda Guthrie. Dora Dean had a wonderful relationship with the Lord. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Searcy. She took great pride in being a diligent prayer warrior for anyone in need. She was always proud to tell anyone about her Jesus, a trait that she has passed on to her boys. Dora Dean took great pride in her work throughout the years. Alongside her husband and sons, they opened and ran Wilf Packing Company for twelve years. She worked as a bank teller at Regions Bank and First National Bank of Searcy, where she made many friends who became family. Dora Dean had a great affinity for thrifting and antiquing, spending much time assisting with auctions and estate sales. In her retirement, she took great joy in spoiling her dog, Toby, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. Dora Dean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeff; her mother and father, JB and Veta Mae Gordon; her sister, Verna Mae Love; and grand-daughter, Heather Wilf. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm Wednesday, June 24, in the chapel of Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob with Tim Noel and Tim Altom officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery on Moore Street in Searcy, Arkansas. Visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Pallbearers include: Blake Wilf, Denny King, Cliff Hebisen, Brent Henderson, Glen Gordon, and Randy Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Sisters in Grace Sunday School at Trinity Baptist Church and Forever Friends First National Bank employees. A special thank you for the loving care provided by The Crossing nurses and staff, as well as, Lifetouch Hospice nurses and staff. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Homes of Bald Knob.
