Elizabeth Jane Mooser

Elizabeth Jane Mooser of Searcy, Arkansas, was called to be with the Lord after eighty-five wondrous years of life and passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on May 7th, 2023. She was born on January 16, 1938, in Opal, Arkansas to Jeff Davis and Margaret Davis Keene. Elizabeth, known by everyone as “Jane”, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a graduate of the Little Rock Central High School where she met her then high school sweetheart, Donald Lee Mooser, who would become her devoted husband for the next six and a half decades. Elizabeth enjoyed her role as homemaker for her family, raising two beloved children, Dr. Paul Jeffrey Mooser and Donna Armstrong, who she proudly helped fulfill their dreams in becoming a physician and registered nurse. Throughout the years she also worked alongside her husband Mr. Don Mooser in running their family-owned company Mooser Electric. She served her community volunteering at St. Vincent’s Hospital and playing piano for her Baptist Church. She adored being surrounded by her loved ones and enjoying time on the water in Lake Hamilton, as well as on annual family vacations to Pensacola, Florida, and other special places they traveled to. Fueled by a lifelong sense of wonder for God’s nature and creation, she took immense delight in cultivating her home gardens every spring and summer. Whether around those very gardens or the kitchen table, her greatest joy in life was watching her grandchildren Ashlea and Austin Armstrong grow up, and they will forever cherish her. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Donald Mooser; brother, Jerry Davis. She is survived by her son, Dr. Paul Jeffrey Mooser and wife Gloria of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Donna Jane Armstrong and husband Bob of Searcy; two grandchildren, Ashlea J. Armstrong of Bentonville, Arkansas, Dr. Austin J. Armstrong of New York, New York; one step-granddaughter, Monique of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one step-great-granddaughter, Charlotte of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 11th, 2023, at Powell Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am. The family would like to extend a heart-felt Thank You to the staff of Elite Hospice, for the gentle care given to her and the family during this time.
