Eric Wayne Kenner

Eric Wayne Kenner, age 60, of Judsonia, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Eric was born on April 20, 1964, to Jim W. and Norma (Daugherty) Kenner in Searcy, Arkansas. He graduated from White County Central High School in 1982 and later attended the Pensacola Bible Institute, where he graduated in 2000. Eric had a deep and abiding faith, often sharing scripture and singing the gospel with anyone who would listen. Eric had a beautiful singing voice and it was a reflection of the love and joy he felt in his heart, and he was known for his passion for worship and his love of God's word. Eric was a man of many talents and an incredibly hard worker throughout his life. Whether welding, working as a diesel mechanic, or using his skills as a carpenter, Eric had a remarkable ability to learn and master any trade he pursued. He was known for his ingenuity and resourcefulness, tackling every challenge that came his way with determination and skill. In 2016, Eric's life took a dramatic turn when he was involved in a car accident that left him paraplegic from the chest down. However, his spirit was unshaken. With unwavering faith, he overcame many obstacles and continued to work in his shop, repairing tractors, cars, trucks, and welding whenever he could. His resilience and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Eric was known for his big heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Above all, Eric’s greatest joy came from his two sons and grandchildren. Their laughter and smiles were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength that will continue to inspire his family and friends. Eric is survived by his two sons, Joshua Kenner (Kara) and Jesse Kenner (Kendall); his grandchildren, Kyler, Jacelyn, Kanen, Emily, Charlotte, and Levi; his mother, Norma Hastings; his siblings, Sandra Heathscott and Annette Brewer (Daniel); and many nieces and nephews. He was also deeply loved by his Uncle Jerry Daugherty (Olga), who was very special to him. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Jim W. Kenner; his beloved maternal grandparents, Ted and Lena Daugherty; and his paternal grandparents, Marshall and Nora Kenner. A celebration of Eric’s life will be held at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob. Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.
