Janice Marie Robertson

Janice Marie Robertson Age 76 of Batesville, Arkansas, went on to be with her Lord & Savior Friday, Dec 6, 2024. She was born in Memphis TN. on July 24, 1948, to Hugh W. Read and Oma (Porter) Read. Janice is survived by her 3 daughters, Amanda Robertson, Stephanie Taylor of Olive Branch MS. & Jennifer Cox of Batesville Arkansas; her 3 Sisters, Elaine Talley of Southaven MS, Sandra Bell of Olive Branch MS, & Elizabeth Zulager of Olive Branch MS; one Brother, Daniel Read of Eudora MS. Janice was also survived by 2 brother in-laws, Richard Bell & Randy Zulager of Olive Branch MS. & 1 Sister in-law Sandy Read of Eudora MS; all of her grandchildren, Brittnee Abram of Southaven MS. Kattie Hutchinson of Memphis TN, Kymberly Hammond of Olive Branch MS, Cody Robertson & Cole Robertson of Hernando MS, Peyton Cox of Batesville Arkansas. Also Janice had 9 great grandchildren, Gabriella, Alyssa, Meredith & Olivia Booker of Southaven MS, Joe Jr. & Kaylee Hutchinson of Memphis TN, and Logan Reece of Olive Branch MS; one new great grandchild the newest Addition to the family, Asher Cole Robertson. Janice was preceded in Death by her birth mother, Oma (Porter) Read; father, Hugh W. Read; stepmother, Louise Read Stump; nephew, John Talley; brother-in-law, Jerry Talley; a son-in-law, Steve Cox. Along with so many others. Janice loved to spend time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to also spend time with her sisters, brother, and her whole family, there was not a time where she did not want to spend time with all of her loved ones. Janice loved to go shopping, especially around Christmastime. Even if she didn’t get anything herself, she got so much joy watching everyone’s faces as they opened their gifts. Janice also loved to cook, and boy could she ever cook? She could cook just about anything. She loved to hear people praise her cooking. She also loved to watch movies that was something her and her oldest daughter loved to watch movies & TV. She loved all kinds of movies from funny to a little scary to sad. But as she got older, she did not like anything scary. It was more of the funny movies, romance and sad movies. That’s where she would like to watch those with her daughter Stephanie. Janice also loved to get everybody together for a cookout or a family Reunion. She loved to play softball when she was younger with her oldest daughter, Amanda. That’s a funny story to hear about, so make sure we hear it from Amanda. Janice enjoyed taking her youngest daughter, Jenn Roller skating she really enjoyed watching her. As she got older, she loved sitting outside watching her little puppy “Khloe” play. She also loved to Color in books, watch the wheel of fortune, and playing bingo which she was good at, she won many times. She also loved to go out for a treat every so often and get something sweet, one of her favorites was a Strawberry Shake… Janice was always the life of the party. She was always funny and loved to play tricks on some of us. Janice was an amazing person, Mother, daughter, Sister, Grandma, Friend... and She will be Dearly Missed by So Many…. To My (3) Beautiful, Precious Girls Amanda, Stephanie, & Jenn, and all of My Beautiful Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren and all My Beautiful Sisters, Elaine, Sandra, & Elizabeth & My Handsome brother, Dan and the rest of my family… Please Remember Me Remember me with smiles not tears For all the joy, through all the years. Recall a “Closeness” that was ours, A love as sweet as fragrant flowers. Don’t dwell on thoughts that cause you pain, We’ll see each other once again, I am at peace…. Try to believe, it was my time…. I had to leave. But “what a view” I have from here, I see all of your faces, I feel all of you near, I follow all of you throughout The day, none of you are alone along the way. And when God calls any of you home, You will be, right here by my side…. Right here with me. Till then, I’ll wait by Heaven’s door, Were we will be united…. Forever more. Love Always’ & Forever Mom, Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am, with Visitation preceding at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bradford, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the New Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Bradford.
