Louise Daggett

In loving memory of our mother Mrs. Louise Naomi Daggett, 81, who was called to rest March 11, 2007. She was born July 5, 1925 to Raymond and Goldie Ferguson in Bald Knob, Arkansas. On January 29, 1946 she was united in marriage to Cordie Lee Daggett of Saffell, Arkansas. To this union, three children were born. They raised their family in Milan and Moline, Illinois. Louise worked at the Buddy L Toy Factory in East Moline, Illinois for 17 years. In 1978 she completed Nurses Assistant Training and worked 4 years at the Rock Island Convalescent Home in Rock Island, Illinois. She loved children especially her grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, quilting and traveling, visiting seven countries and over half of the US. She was a red hat member and loved wearing her red hat daily during her months at the Bradford House Nursing Home in Bentonville, Arkansas. The staff was wonderful to her. Proudly, on April 28, 1996 she was baptized and united with New Bethel General Baptist Church, Bald Knob, Arkansas. The last two years she attended Grace United Methodist Church, Rogers, Arkansas, believing denomination made no difference as long as her one and only Lord Jesus was worshipped Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Janice Ouradnik, Rogers, Arkansas and Betty Dettmann, Milan, Illinois and a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathy Daggett, Blue Grass, Iowa; grandsons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Tiffany Hess, Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Richie and Ginny Dettmann, Grand Forks, North Dakota and Thomas Daggett of Blue Grass, Iowa; granddaughters Kristina Daggett, Ames, Iowa and Kelly Dettmann, Milan, IL; and great grandchildren, Timmy Hess, Adam and Josh Book, Colorado Springs, CO and Dylan, Autumn and Jhustin Wright, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Brothers and sisters, Donald and Fredia Ferguson, Sebastian, Florida; RA and Rose Ferguson, DeSoto, Missouri; Mary and Don O'Brien, Sun City, Arizona; Larry and Kathy Ferguson, Milan, Illinois; Linda and Dwight Duncan, Bradford, Arkansas; Marcy and Ted Scholer, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Muriel Peterson, Moline, Illinois; Sandy Ferguson, Milan, Illinois; Marie Frakes, Rock Island, Illinois; Nadine Mize, Coal Valley, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; Aunt Ola Mae Sutter, Pleasant Plaines, Arkansas and sons-in-law Jerry Hess, Brice, Ohio and Richard Dettmann, Sevierville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Cordie, a grandson Jason Lee Hess and sisters and brothers; Dorothy Peterson, Anna Rogers, Jimmy Ferguson, and Archie Clyde, James, Baby, Evelyn Evilee, and Cecil Carl Ferguson; and Nolan Daggett. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the children and youth programs at New Bethel General Baptist Church, Bald Knob, Arkansas or Grace United Methodist Church, Rogers, Arkansas. Services on Thursday March 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM Powell Funeral Home Chapel with visitation on Wednesday March 14, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM. Interment at Prince Cemetery.
