Michele Boyd Mitchell

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michele Boyd Mitchell, who departed this world on March 27, 2026, at her home in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Born on September 25, 1976, in Monroe, Louisiana, Mitchele was a beacon of warmth, humor, and boundless love to all who knew her. Michele was the beloved daughter of Mike and Gloria Boyd, who instilled in her the values of kindness, generosity, and an unparalleled zest for life. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Larry and Diane Trevino of Little Rock, Arkansas, James Boyd of Fair Oaks, Arkansas, and JoAnn Gillette of West Monroe, Louisiana, as well as her great-grandparents, Encarnation and Petra Trevino of Forrest City, Arkansas,the father to one of her children, Jimmy Martin of Pangburn, Arkansas, and her mother in law, Shirely Mitchell of Houston, Arkansas.Their memories lived on in Michele’s stories and the love she shared with her family and friends. Michele is survived by her devoted husband of nine years, Randy Mitchell, with whom she built a life rich in love and laughter in Jacksonville. Together, they raised a beautiful family, welcoming many others into their fold with open arms. She was the cherished mother of Selena and Nikolai Boyd-Ezekiel of Conway, Arkansas, Joshua and Shelby Mitchell of Houston, Arkansas, and Page Mitchell and Donald McCoy of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Her legacy lives on in her three adored grandchildren Teddy, Harmoni and Dontae who will carry forward her love of fishing and visits to the zoo. Michele is also survived by her sister, Natasha Boyd of Searcy, Arkansas, and her niece, Asia Boyd, who will forever cherish their memories of her infectious laughter and quick wit. Her extended family of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless dear friends will remember her as a woman whose kindness touched every life she encountered. A proud graduate of Judsonia High School in Judsonia, Arkansas, class of 1994, Michele embarked on a career that was as diverse as it was fulfilling. Her working life began at The Little Fruit Stand in Judsonia, where she first demonstrated her innate ability to connect with people. Michele’s professional journey saw her in various roles, each characterized by her respect, kindness, and an uncanny knack for "talking your ear off," leaving everyone she met feeling valued and appreciated. In her personal life, Michele was known for her quick wit and warm smile. She was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood, making any gathering more joyful. Her love for fishing, reading, and spending time with friends on girls' nights out brought happiness to her and those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Searcy, Arkansas, in Michele’s memory, reflecting her love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Or donation to her grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the customers of The Little Fruit Stand, as well as family and friends, for their unwavering love and support. Michele will forever be in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to guide us in the days to come. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas. At 6:00 p.m., Eric Wade will officiate and share a message in honor of Michele. The family warmly invites anyone who wishes to share a story or memory to come forward at that time.
