Patricia Lee Latimer

Patricia Lee Latimer, 82, of Searcy, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born on January 29, 1942, in Rosebud, Arkansas, to Ruby Mulliniks Haney and Roy Haney. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ina Lou Hussman. Pat married the love of her life, Philip Latimer in 1962. When she married Philip, she gained four sisters, Velta (Mike) Youker, Brenda (Keith) Maddock, Vickie (Randy) Stiles, and the late Quintella (Lyndel) Lybarger whom she cherished. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Scott and Mitch. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, imparting her values and love for Jesus onto the next generation. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She reveled in their accomplishments and milestones; always offering her support and praise. Her stories, laughter, and hugs will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered. She loved to cross stitch and made beautiful needlework with her precious hands. She poured her heart and soul into every piece she created. To Pat, each precise stitch was an expression of her love and faith, often gifted to family and friends on special occasions. Each stitch was a testament to her patience and dedication, a legacy of beauty and craftsmanship that will forever be with those who love her. She was an avid birdwatcher, a hobby she shared with her sisters. She taught her grandchildren and great grandchildren her love for nature and gardened all her life. Her faith was her guiding light, leading her through all life’s challenges with grace and resilience. She was a member of the Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed making flower arrangements for her congregation to enjoy. Her commitment to serving others and spreading the message of God’s love was an inspiration to all who knew her. We take solace in knowing that she now resides in heaven with her husband, Philip, and her beloved dog, Scooby. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Scott (Tammie) of Searcy and Mitch (Tina) of Beebe. Scott and Tammie have a daughter and son, Abby (Chris) Fassett and Ethan (Paige) Latimer. Abby and Chris have two boys, Ransom and Weston. Ethan and Paige have one daughter, Ella Claire. Mitch and Tina have two sons and a daughter, Ricky Latimer, and Christian and Natalie Neill. Ricky (Tiffany) has four children, Aidan, Atkin, Haislee, and Everleigh. Her five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren were the light of her life. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews she loved. She also had a host of stitching friends, whom she held dear. Family was the most important thing to Pat; she taught generations of family to love unconditionally and cherish one another. It would be her wish that we love everyone as the Lord loves us. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00pm, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy. Interment will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery.
