Piper Leigh Goodwin

Piper Leigh Goodwin passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2026, at Arkansas Children's Hospital after a 6-week battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and complications associated with her treatments. She was born on June 19, 2007, to Eric and Ashley Goodwin. Piper had a love for life and a genuine love for people that was like no other. She was a senior at Rose Bud High School. Piper loved her friends, helping as a teacher’s aide in 2nd grade, eating Mexican food, hanging out with her multiple boyfriends, and loving and being loved by the Rose Bud students and teachers. She previously participated in basketball and cross country during her junior high and high school career, before falling in love with cheerleading. She brought joy to Rose Bud fans and fans from multiple other schools with her infectious smile, waves to the crowd, and dance moves at halftime. Piper was preceded in death by her Nana (Pat Jackson and Danny Jackson) and Mimi (Bonnie Goodwin) and is survived by her parents, her younger brother Rhett, her older brother Bestie (or Jace), her future sister in law Brynlee Huggins, her Poppy (Jerry Goodwin), aunts and uncles Bart Jackson (Kim), Casey Jackson (Ashley), Jody Jackson (Tracy), Travis Goodwin (Corrie), Philip Goodwin (Kristyn), Rebekah Conner (Clint), cousins Grant Jackson (Jenna), Reid Jackson (Sunny), Paige Gill (Justin), Layten Jackson, Caysley Jackson, Kelcie Jackson, Danna Jackson, Brooke Jackson, Britt Worthington (Brad), Gracyn Goodwin, Lauryn Goodwin, Houston Goodwin, Austyn Goodwin, Tyler Goodwin, Rowin Conner, Hudson Conner, Ramsey Conner, Hollis Conner, and multiple extended family members. Piper will be forever missed and never be forgotten by her family and those that loved her. Visitation is Sunday 4/19/2026 from 5:00-8:00 at Kennect City Church in Kensett AR, with her celebration of life service Monday 4/20/2026 at 2:00. The family is in the process of setting up a nonprofit called “Piper’s Purpose” to support the 4K wing of Arkansas Children's Hospital and the families that receive treatment there.
