Randall Joe "Randy" Reed

Randall “Randy” Joe Reed, 69, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by love and family. Randy Reed was born on January 7, 1957, in Judsonia to Dollie (Berry) Reed and Billy Reed. He attended White County Central School. Randy retired from the City of Searcy in 2011 after many years of service. He also worked alongside his brother, Jim Reed, for many years at Searcy Auto Salvage. Randy was a member of Higginson Trinity Pentecostal Church of God. If Randy wasn't at home watching a western on grit you could find him at Hurricane fishing. Randy loved to camp and run lines as soon as the weather got pretty. In the summer you could find him in Heber Springs at the lake camping with his family. But come August you would find him covered in bandaids where he had been working on a derby car. When September rolled around you would find him in the pits being your biggest supporter because he had a love for the demolition derby, he even ran a few himself. Randy loved to tell stories, and I mean tell stories his 3 pound fish suddenly turned into a 13 pound monster and don’t even get him started on the size of that turtle. Randy had a love for hunting even if he couldn’t track a deer! Left to cherish his memory are 4 sons: Dennis Reed (Christina), William Reed, Randy Reed Jr, Samuel Lawerence; 2 daughters Kandy Frederick (Oscar) and Gladys Smith (Brad). 16 grandkids and 8 great grandkids. A brother, Jim Reed (Teresa), 3 sisters: Brenda Woodle (Floyd), Julie Britton (Mark) and Linda Reed. As well as a bonus, son, Mark Stivers and his companion Wendy Reed, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Dollie and Billy Reed; his sister, Rita Jackson; his nephew, Timmy Reed; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.
