Robert Glenn Jackson

Robert Glenn Jackson passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 62 after being diagnosed with several unexpected serious health complications. He was surrounded by his family as he went to be with Jesus. Robert graduated from Judsonia High School in 1980 and went on to attend Arkansas College (now Lyon College) in Batesville, AR. His career included working at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Zenith Data Systems—where he was recognized as the number one sales representative in the USA—and Apple Computer. Robert met the love of his life, Lisa Jackson, in 1980 when he was just 18 years old. They had one daughter, Mary Margaret Jackson. As a devoted and loving father, Robert taught his daughter the values of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. He had a big heart and inspired curiosity and love in everyone he met. Robert is survived by his daughter, Mary Margaret Jackson; her mother, Lisa Jackson; his sister, Beth A. Jackson; his brother, Thomas Jackson; his sister-in-law, Susan Jackson; his former mother-in-law, Fern Pledger; four nieces, Liz, Brittney, Meredith, and Amanda; two great-nieces, Emily and Madison; one great-great-nephew, Kaison; and many dear friends. He is reunited in death with his parents, Dr. C.W. and Marianne Jackson; his grandparents; his nephew, Matthew Morris; his former father-in-law, Glen Dale Pledger; and his former brother-in-law, Jeffery Pledger. Robert had a passion for electronics and computers, earning a reputation as a computer wiz. He loved music and could engage in conversation for hours. He enjoyed sparking discussions with anyone he met and took great pleasure in helping others, a lesson he instilled in his daughter. Every day, Robert found ways to make the world a better place. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on in the little things—a smile, a friendly face, a helping hand, a good conversation, or a cherished friend. Though he may be gone, the impact he had on others will continue to inspire those he left behind. A memorial service will be conducted privately with family.
