Ruffin Ray Clark

On March 30, 2024, God called home one of His Angels to be with Him. Ruffin “Ray” Clark came into this world on October 4, 1939 to the proud parents Lester and Artimes Clark. He was next to the oldest son born to the union. Ray professed his life to Christ at a young age and was joined to the membership of Morning View Missionary Baptist Church. Ray began working at a young age and was a dedicated hard worker in the area of farming. He began working for John Berry Holder and was employed for many years. He then went on to work with a couple of other farmers in the area: Butch Brogdon, E & J Reeves Farms, and Burkett Farms. He would still haul grain during harvest season up until a year and a half ago. Ray was so dedicated to what he did that even when he wasn’t working, he was riding checking fields, levies, and wells. His father, Lester Clark; Mother, Artimes Clark-Prater; Sister, Cindy Brackett; Daughters, Shirley Goode, and Annette Sparkman preceded him in passing. He leaves to cherish his memories; wife Willie Mae Clark; Son, Booker Pennington (Tracie) of Conway, AR; Keith Clark of McCrory, AR; Sulisa Williams (Larry) of North Little Rock, AR; Two Sisters; Zenobia Clark of Arizona; Geraldine Clark, Portland, OR; Three Brothers: Curley Clark and Joseph Clark of Portland, OR; Larry Clark (Shirley) of McCrory, AR; Grandchildren are Treandos Stevenson and Mertel Stephenson of Chicago, IL; Trenquita Clark of Texas, Ashlee Pennington of Searcy, AR; Kourtnee Pennington of Indiana; Dylan Holiday of North Little Rock; Skyla Eirvin of McCrory, AR; Deja Eirvin, Lantric Williams, and Alyssa Williams, all of Sherwood, AR; Lauren Williams, North Little Rock, AR; Antonio King, Franchelle King, and Al King of Arkansas; Zyquan Hall of McCrory; Roneca Spears, Chrissa Burton, and Shawn Neal of Conway. A host of Great-grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren. A special friend he has had for many years with Billy Collier. Ray was loved by many friends and his family. He was well-known all around and will be truly missed. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in McCrory, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Billy Collier officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in McCrory, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Jerome Boswell, Carl McKinney, Rodney Boswell, Raysharron Green, Bryan Boswell, and Jamar Clark. Honorary pallbearers are, Albert Neal, Albert Jones, Donnie Dicus, Ralph Woods, Chester B Green, Johnny Ray Green, Andrew Woods, and Clarence Turner. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County.
