Terry Lynn Bowman Newman

Terry Lynn Bowman Newman, 67 of Bald Knob, Arkansas passed from this life surrounded by her family at her home on April 13, 2024. She was born August 29, 1956, in Wynne, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Alford Bowman and Millie Roseberry Bowman. Terry was a 1975 Bald Knob High School graduate who married the love of her life, John Michael Newman, on March 12, 1976. She later attended ASU Newport where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 1978. Terry became a compassionate caregiver to many patients in the hospital and homes over the years and taught nursing students at Draughons Junior Colleges in Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee. She loved caring for the elderly, including her mother, with the help of her daughter. She was an excellent seamstress and an entrepreneur who sold her handcrafted items. Terry loved cooking and living on a farm with her many animals and pets. She was a wonderful gardener who took pride in growing a variety of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Most of all, she loved her children and grandson, Brennan, who was the light of her life, with whom she enjoyed spending as much time as possible. She is preceded in death by her daughter-Natalie Newman Kenny, sister-Juanita Bowman Huffman, brother-Leslie Bowman, niece-Robin Bowman and nephew-Christopher Smith. Brother in laws - James Allen Newman, Keith (Skip) Weldon Newman. Left to cherish her memories include John Newman, husband of 48 years, and son Jeromy Newman of Bald Knob; son in law Charles “Chuck” (Debbie)Kenny; grandson, Brennan Kenny and siblings; brother Harold Bowman of Wenatchee, Washington; sisters-Mary Bowman Harris and Rita Bowman Smith of Bald Knob; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and lifelong friends, Cheryl Burns and Sandra (Cliff) Woodard. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas with Reverend Westley Wren officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Coffeyville Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Cliff Woodard, Greg Williams, Cameron Williams, Matt Mason, Brian Harmon, and Leslie Bowman. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
