Thomas Fay Cagle

Mr. Thomas Fay Cagle, of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, October 19, 2017, at the age of 93. He was born September 20, 1924 in Ozark, Arkansas, a son of the late Willis and Suler (Williams) Cagle. On June 16, 1945 Tom married Opal Beatrice (Hendricks) Cagle and together they raised five children. Mr. Tom was a member of Bradford Baptist Church. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. Tom was a 32nd degree Mason. His home lodge was Byers Masonic Lodge #81 at Bradford. He worked for Revere Copper and Brass for 35 years until retirement. Tom was an avid gardener. He enjoyed spending time picking up pecans and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Opal Beatrice (Hendricks) Cagle; his children, Ronnie Cagle and wife Carol, Bonnie McAnelly and husband Donald, Donnie Cagle and wife Patsy, Johnnie Cagle and wife Norma, and Connie Yates and husband Ricky all of Bradford; eight grandchildren, Dara Burruss, Stacey Alderson, Tommy Stevens, Chris Stevens, Jetela Fletcher, Bret Cagle, Josh Yates, and Joseph Cagle; nineteen great grandchildren, five great - great grandchildren; one brother, Lynn Cagle and wife Laverne of Beebe; one sister, Lula Boyce and husband Harold of Bradford; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Suler (Williams) Cagle; grandson, Lee Yates; three brothers, William, J.D. and Montie Cagle; and four sisters, Margaret Goad, Willie Wilson, Gladys Whitsel, and Ruth Pitman. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tommy Stevens, Chris Stevens, Josh Yates, Bradley Boatman, Brandon Boatman, and Bret Cagle. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Yates, Eric Stevens, Rowdy Yates, and Joseph Cagle. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers at Summit Hospice Home Care for all the care and support they provided our family over the past months. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Don Robinson officiating.
