Wanda Lea Yarbrough

Wanda Lea Yarbrough, 90, of Bradford went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born in Grand Glaise, Arkansas on March 25, 1935, to Orville W. and Lona L. (Tanner) Robertson. Wanda was a woman of immense warmth, creativity, and strength. She had a passion for creating things and her hands were rarely still. Her quilts were masterpieces-each one lovingly crafted with intricate patterns and colors that seemed to tell stories of hope, family and tradition. Friends and family members were often blessed with her handmade gifts. Beyond quilting, Wanda found joy in all kinds of crafting and her home was a haven of creativity and comfort. She made beautiful porcelain dolls that were absolutely exquisite. The craftsmanship and delicate details she put into each doll was so stunning. Her creativity was truly inspiring, and she had a way of bringing fresh beauty and meaning to everything she touched. Wanda was a businesswoman whose determination and tireless work ethic defied her career. She learned the value of hard work from a young age, and it was stitched into her daily life. She owned several businesses throughout her life and continued working well into her 80’s. She truly enjoyed working with people and was known for her kindness, generosity and resilience. Wanda was preceded in death by her spouse, Dale Yarbrough; husband, J.J. Reeves; her sons, Stephen Reeves and Lee Yarbrough; both her parents; two brothers, Leon and Bill Robertson. She is survived by her son, Jim Dwight Reeves (Beverly) of Bradford, AR; daughters, Tina Street (Donald) of Cabot, AR, Gina Brown of Bradford, AR; her son, Michael Yarbrough of Bradford, AR. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Waylon Reeves (Melanie), Winter Yielding (Chris), Donald Street III (Kristen), Chantel Bolin, Nicole Street, Valeria Franks (Michael), Tiffany Brady (Derek), Marie Reeves, and Marcus Reeves; her sister, Norma Harmon; brothers, James Robertson and Rodger Robertson. She leaves a village of great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Wanda was a member of the Bradford Church of Christ and a true Proverbs 31 woman. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home of Bradford from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Funeral Service will be conducted immediately following, beginning at 3:00pm. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery, Russell, Arkansas. Arrangements were entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Bradford.
