In Loving Memory of Wilbur Dean White (January 27, 1951 – May 12, 2025) With deep sorrow and great love, we remember Wilbur Dean White of Augusta, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on January 27, 1951, to the late Clarence Houston White and Grace Pearl (Wright) White of Augusta, AR, he grew up in a home filled with faith, hard work, and love—values that shaped him into the incredible man we celebrate today. A masterful mechanic, known to many as a Guardian Angel on the road, Wilbur Dean never hesitated to stop and help anyone in need. His passion for all things automotive was matched only by his love for his family, his faith in Jesus, and his joy in giving selflessly to others. Whether hunting for treasures at an auction for the people he loved, embarking on road trips, or simply sharing time with those he cherished, his heart was always full. The greatest love of his life was Patricia “Patti” (Seger) White, his beloved wife of 35 years, whom he lost in 2023. Their bond was one of deep affection and unwavering devotion, a love story that touched everyone who knew them. His heart never truly healed, but his faith remained strong. As Psalm 34:18 reminds us: "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit." He is survived by his three loving step-children: Kevin “Paul” Turner-Summey (Joe) of Tampa, Florida, Krissy Seger-Cross (Kyle) of Judsonia, Arkansas, and James “Jesse” Seger of Grady, Arkansas, his adored grandchild: Izaiah Seger of Supply, North Carolina, and his two surviving siblings: Violet Mae “White” Waggle of Searcy, Arkansas and Connie Pearl “White” Darby Taylor (Bill) of Pope, Mississippi. He now joins in Heaven his parents and ten siblings who preceded him in passing: Margaret Edith White, Clarence White Jr., Franklin Delanor Roosevelt White, Gertha Wayne Burton White, Mary Lena (White) Carter, Shirley Jean White, Jery Don White, Charles Edwin White, William Sherril White, Jo Ann (White) Clark, reunited once more in eternal peace. He also leaves behind a legacy of love with his many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends, all of whom meant the world to him. To know Wilbur Dean was to be his friend, for he never met a stranger. As we honor his life, we hold on to the comforting words from Psalm 34:1-9, 17-22 (NKJV): "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad..." Though our hearts grieve, we take solace in knowing he is reunited with Patti and embraced in the arms of the Lord. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith will forever shine in the lives he touched. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Augusta, Arkansas. Memorial visitation will be held prior to services from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County.
