October 29, 1942 - November 15, 2021
Alfred Dwayne Louks, 79, went to be with Jesus surrounded by his family on November 15, 2021 at his home in Bald Knob. He was born on October 29, 1942 to the late AG and Wanda Louks. Alfred met his wife Chestine at a young age and married in 1960. Even though he didn’t have a high school diploma, he had a very successful career working in construction. He learned to read blue prints and could build anything. Traveling across the country, living in several states, they moved back home in the late 70’s and he worked locally until his retirement. Al taught his children that church was essential and that it was impossible to out give God. His children were raised to work hard, in fact his son Stan worked for him for several years. When it came to his four grandchildren, Al always said “If I’d known grandkids were this much fun, I’d had them first”. He helped with homework, played checkers and cheered on the sidelines at ball games. After his wife passed away seven months ago, Al depended on his family to take care of him. This included two God sent angels: Skylynn and Stormie Riley. He is survived by his children, Stanley Dwayne Louks (Karla) of Searcy and Ronda Louks Martin (Wayne) of Judsonia; grandchildren Andrea Martin Baughman (Hunter) of Judsonia, Callie Louks Warford (Jordan) of Louisville, Kentucky, Evan Martin of Judsonia; great-granddaughter Kinley Renae Baughman of Judsonia; honorary granddaughters Skylynn and Stormie Riley of Kensett; siblings Sharon Ferren (Charles) of Judsonia, Amelia Cook (Michael) of Palestine Texas, Michael Louks (Amanda) of Judsonia and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Chestine Louks, daughter Janet Renae Louks, grandson Ethan Dwayne Martin and brother Winfred Louks. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Searcy First Assembly of God with Bro. Winfield Piker and Bro. Mark Ferren officiating and personal remarks given by Stan Louks. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob - Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
