Aubrey Alexander Scrape

Aubrey Alexander Scrape, 91, longtime resident of White County, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Oakdale Nursing in Judsonia. He was born March 12, 1930 in Russell to Sherwood Elec Scrape and Ora Mae (Leslie) Scrape. He attended school in Russell and graduated from there as well. He went to Beebe College and then was drafted in 1951. Aubrey served in Korea from 1952 to 1953 as a radio operator. He then joined the air force and was discharged in 1960. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10007, life time member of the Russell Methodist Church and worked at the Bald Knob Lumber yard from 1960 till July 2021. Aubrey was known by many and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Bald Knob VFW Post 10007; PO BOX 615, Bald Knob, AR 72010. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob services will begin immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in the Carter Cemetery at Russell.
