Billy Cecil Wilson
November 20, 1934 - March 7, 2021
Sunday, March 7, 2021, Billy Cecil Wilson, of Steprock laid his working hands to rest and went to be with the Lord. He devoted his life to his family and their farm. Many days were spent working endless hours, but always finding time to “aggravate” his kids and or grandbabies. He was known far and wide for his brute strength and man did he love to “show off” and prove he was stronger than the next! He set an example for all to follow, but shoes no one can ever fill. As so many loved ones before him, his days grew long and tiresome. As family gathered around his bed Sunday evening, we held his hands and shed bittersweet tears, as we encouraged him to let us go and reach for Jesus’ hands. Billy was born November 20, 1934 in Gould, Arkansas to the late Clair and Rachael (Knight) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurene (Crandall) Wilson; daughter, LaJuan House and four siblings, Marlene Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, Norma Dell (Wilson) Reynolds, and Catherine (Wilson) Houser. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy (Wilson) Louks; son, William Wilson (Rhonda); son-in-law, Jerry Michael House; three grandsons, Andrew House, Cody Louks (Tina) and Will Wilson; two granddaughters, Alison (Louks) Davis and Ashley Wilson; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Dalton and Drew House, Slayton, Ryder and Zayne Davis, Alexia, Khalan and Falyn Louks and Olivvia and Chloe Wilson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s: www.stjude.org or Arkansas Children’s Hospital: www.archildrens.org. Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 1:00-2:30 p.m., at the Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Graveside services will follow in the Providence Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net
