Charles Thomas Hamilton

Charles Thomas Hamilton passed from this earthly realm to enter the kingdom of heaven on August 24, 2016. He was born on June 16, 1924 in Bay, Arkansas to the late William Judson Hamilton and Dora Mae (Duvall) Hamilton. Charles was sometimes know as Chuck or C T. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served aboard the USS Piedmont from 1942 - 1947. He worked for the gas company in Bald Knob before switching career goals to the pipeline industry in which he worked his last job as machine operator in 2014 at the age of 90. Charles loved his children and everyone else's too. He always made time for kids and he was loved by several nieces and nephews not to mention various neighborhood children. Charles was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man more willing to help anyone that needed it. Although his family hates to see him move on, they are sure he will be greeted by loves ones including family members and wonderful friends he's made over the years. He loved to aggravate, tease, and play jokes on everyone. Heaven will be filled with a little more love and pranks upon his arrival. We are thrilled that daddy's next family meal will be at the table prepared for him by Jesus. It should be quite a supper. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, trucks, tractors, and anything that had a motor or transmission. There were very few machines that he couldn't repair or even improve. Books were one if his best friends with special emphasis on Louis L'Amour. He is survived by his wife Juanita Alice (Rutherford) Hamilton - they were married June 12, 1950 and celebrated their 66th anniversary this past June; one daughter, Brenda (Hamilton) Grubbs; a son Charles Phillip Hamilton and wife Leann; seven grand children, Jason Grubbs , Levi Brassie . Charles "Chas" Hamilton , Kendra (Hamilton) Duncan , Ezekiel Hamilton, Zachariah Hamilton, and Faith Parrett; four great grandchildren, Jacob Kimberling, Bryson Hamilton, Emma Rose Duncan, and Riley Tripp; one honorary grandson, Shane Duncan; one brother, Robert "RD" Hamilton; several nieces, nephews, family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Rossette, and Geraldine Watkins; a brother Fred Hamilton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bradford with service beginning at 3:00p.m. Interment to Follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob.
