Danny Bryan Knight Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Danny Bryan Knight of Morton entered fully into the presence of his Lord November 27, 2021 in Southhaven, Mississippi. Danny was born January 1, 1940 to the late Ellis and Dollie (Smith) Knight of Morton, Arkansas. Danny was a faithful member of Morton Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and led singing for many years. He was a self-employed building contractor for over 50 years. Danny was highly respected in the building trade. He built many homes throughout his career in Woodruff, Cross, and St. Francis Counties. He and the former Virginia Cain were united in marriage on June 30, 1990. Danny was an avid outdoorsman and was blessed to enjoy 51 deer hunting seasons with his family at their favorite spot in Bearden, AR. He loved many things in life including family gatherings, holidays, reading his Bible, tailgate parties, and anything Razorback or Jaguar. Danny met people from all walks of life during his career and became friends with many. He enjoyed telling stories from the past, cooking breakfast on the weekends, singing hymns to all who would listen, piddling around his shop, watching his grandkids participate in sports, riding his four-wheeler, during weekdays on his lunch break he would listen to Tradio on KWYN because he was always looking for a good deal, and finally he was a well-known practical joker. He had a great sense of humor and was always upbeat keeping a positive attitude throughout his difficult days of sickness. Danny was a bold witness for Jesus Christ even telling telemarketers how to be saved. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quick wit, his direct honesty, and his love for God. He desired for everyone to live life to the fullest and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel Ellis Knight and Dollie (Smith) Knight of Morton. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Virginia Knight of the home; three daughters, Melissa Smith of Conway, Danna Knight of Whitehall, Londa Hamrick (Garon) of Marion; two sons, Jimmy Caudle (Kasey) of Hunter, Phil Caudle of Brinkley; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lynn Knight of Hickory Ridge, Johnny Knight (Suzanne) of Morton; sister, Ava Simmons (Lynn) of McCrory; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Morton Baptist Church PO Box 727 McCrory, AR 72101 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morton Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Dewitt and Bro. Ray Dean Davis officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Whitehall Cemetery.
