Dora Mae Tomberlin

February 29, 1940 - April 25, 2022

Dora Mae Tomberlin, 82, departed this life on Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home. She was born February 29, 1940 in Glaze, Arkansas. The daughter of the late Shelby Leon Robertson and Cloe Robertson. Mrs. Dora was a homemaker all her life. She took care of her children and husband until his passing. In her later years, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family will always remember her good cooking, especially her homemade pecan pies. Dora will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by three daughters; Geneva Bell, Cynthia Tomberlin, and Carolyn Pollard; her sister; Carolyn Vanoven; grandchildren, Dora Linhart, William Mitchell, Dewitt Fortune Jr. (Carrie), Jerry Fortune, and James Fortune; as well as 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Ruben Clyde Tomberlin, her son; Donald Clyde Tomberlin, and her sister; Doris Ann Crisher. Funeral services are entrusted with Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.; Funeral service will be Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Following services internment will be at White Lake Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Dewitt Fortune Jr., Jerry Fortune, James Fortune, Tristen Fortune, Dewitt Fortune III, and William Mitchell.
