June Ellen McDaniel, 81 of Bradford, Arkansas left this world on Monday, September 4, 2023, at home surrounded by family. June was born June 27, 1942, to William & Nella (Weathers) Robertson. (Known to all who loved them as Bill & Nellie). June married the love of her life, Ronald Amos McDaniel, on February 11, 1958. They were married for 65 years, as mom always said she would never marry again after loving our daddy. True love lasts a lifetime. June was known for being a hard worker. She worked at Sloan Valve as a machinist for 37 years, where she excelled. She was admired for her dedication & ability to outwork others 20 years her junior. Mom taught us kids that with hard work & determination you will accomplish your dreams. In June’s spare time she enjoyed gardening, planting flowers of all kinds, canning a variety of fruits and vegetables for her family to take home to enjoy. It was not uncommon to drive by and see June outside enjoying a cup of coffee and waving at all her neighbors who happened to drive by. Her favorite hobby above all was deer hunting and spending lots of time at deer camp with family and friends. Funny story or the family joke: One day daddy was headed to mom to let her know he had killed a 10 point, when all of a sudden, he hears a shout and said “I know that voice”. He got to mom and there she was with a big 10 point. Mom said “Ronnie I don’t know how we are going to get this big boy to the truck”, to which daddy replied, “me either, since we have 2 deer we have to get out of here”. The funniest part of the story is daddy’s 10 point sits inside of mom’s 10 point rack. June is survived by her children, Judy Epperson (husband, Dale) of Bald Knob AR, Gary McDaniel (wife, Michelle) of Greenfield IN, Rommie McDaniel (wife, Tracy) of Bradford AR, Cynthia Hooker (husband, Marty) of Bradford AR; siblings, Betty Morgan, Bobby Robertson (Nancy), Billy Robertson (Diane); grandchildren, belonging to Judy are Mickey and Angela, Gary’s are Gary, Chris and Maddy, Rommie’s are Misty, Chris, Natalie and Dena, Cindy’s are LaRayne and LaJetta; great-grandchildren, Coby, Kaylee, Lidia, Christopher Jr., Cameron, Claire, Parker, Kyleigh, Patience, Austin, Sierra, Jazmin, Braden and Collette; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephew and friends. Those who greeted her in Heaven were her husband, Ronnie; parents, Bill and Nellie; siblings, Veliar Owens, Willie Walls; brother-in-law, Junior Morgan and Betty’s life partner, John. Services will be on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at 4:00pm. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery, Bradford, Arkansas.
