Lucy Mae Skinner, 90, of Bald Knob, passed away on April 3, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1931, to the late Jimmy Elliot Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell. Lucy loved listening to gospel music and watching Golden Girls. She was a member of the Hopewell Community Church congregation and loved her church family. Lucy was the definition of a “people person” and never failed to tell everyone that she loved them; even strangers. She is survived by three sons, Michael Joe Skinner, Jimmy Lee Skinner, and Timmy Wayne Skinner; four daughters, Carol Ann Hutchins, Phyllis Paulette “Polly” Watkins, Mary Jane Staggs, and Brenda Lee Slocum; one sister, Mildred Viola Allison; and numerous other friends and family members that will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Skinner; one sister, Frankie Pauline Faircloph; and a grandson, Carlos Keck. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with Bro. Richard Smithson officiating.
