Amy Michelle Gammill

Amy Michelle Gammill, 56, of Searcy, Arkansas, entered eternal rest on February 13, 2026. She was born January 10, 1970, in Elgin, Illinois, to Vickie McClintock and Silace Christian. Amy’s life was centered around the people she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Gammill; her daughters, Hannah Hicks and husband Joseph, and Addy Gammill and partner Scott Martin; Step Children: Caleb Gammill & Lindsey Gammill, her mother, Vickie Gaines and stepfather, Tommy Gaines; her grandmother, Betty McClintock; her siblings, John A. McClintock, Sarah Hill, and Cory Hill; her step-siblings, Alan Gaines and wife Amanda, and Melanie Cornwell; and her treasured grandchildren, Kane, Pierce, Kaylei, Jemma, Aubree, John Tyg, Drake, Delanie, Eden, Jordyn, Junior, and Kamryn, along with many extended family members and dear friends. She was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Silace Christian; her grandfather, John E. McClintock; Mother-inlaw Jeraline Branum and nephew, Seth Anderson. For 20 years, Amy worked at Barb’s BBQ alongside Barb Hill, where many knew her as “Amus.” To Amy, no one was just a customer. Every person who walked up to the drive-in was treated like family, and many truly became just that. Amy found joy in life’s simple treasures. She loved collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and could never resist stopping at a good yard sale. She will be remembered for her bright smile, her infectious laugh, and the kind of hugs that made everything feel okay. Amy had a special gift for finding the most unique and personal presents for the people she loved. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Any child who crossed her path was loved and cherished as her own, because that was simply who she was. Above all, Amy was a mother. She was the heart and safe place for her daughters. She was their biggest supporter, their protector, and their constant. She celebrated their joys, carried their burdens, and loved them with a depth that words cannot fully capture. The bond she shared with her girls was unbreakable and will continue to live on in them every day. Her proudest and most cherished role was being “Mammee.” Her grandchildren were her heart. She loved having them all together — the noise, the laughter, and the chaos. To her, the more, the merrier. Amy was selfless in every sense of the word. She gave without expecting anything in return. If she loved you, you knew it. And if she called you family, it was forever. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Augusta, Arkansas with Brother Greg DeWitt officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Fakes Cemetery in McCrory, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Foster Sims, Danny Hicks, Jason Jones, Daniel Howell, Alan Gaines, and Bradshaw Weatherford. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hicks and John A.McClintock Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County.
