Barbara Mosby

Barbara Dale Mosby, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 28, 1942, in Dumas, Arkansas, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Robert C. and Irene (Reed) Willis. Barbara lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, and quiet strength. A true nurturer at heart, she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life — watching the birds, and caring for animals, especially her beloved cats. Barbara delighted in the visits from her family, especially her nieces and nephews, making every moment memorable with her warmth and playful spirit. Her dedication to caring for others extended beyond her home. Barbara served as a compassionate caregiver and sitter in the McCrory and Augusta areas, giving tirelessly to those in need. Her work was not just a job, but a calling — one that she answered with deep love and commitment. She formed lasting bonds with those she cared for, becoming not only a caregiver but a trusted companion and friend. Barbara was of the Catholic faith and remained devoted throughout her life. Her faith was a source of strength and guidance, and though her declining health eventually kept her from attending church, it never diminished the place of faith in her heart. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Bennett; and two nieces, Robin Lynn, and Felisa Robertson. She is survived by her tender sister, Earline Farnsworth; her devoted nephews, Stacy Hanna and Jason Hanna, both of Searcy, and Shane Bennett of Colt, Arkansas; her loving nieces, Amy Hill of Little Rock and Wendy Pigg (Jimmy) of Searcy; and a host of extended family members and friends who will carry her memory with love and gratitude. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to The Blossoms at Oakdale and all the staff of the Advanced Care Unit at Unity Health for the compassionate and attentive care they provided Barbara during her time there. They would also like to thank the staff at Powell Funeral Home for their help and guidance through this difficult time. Barbara's life was a quiet but powerful testament to love, generosity, and unwavering care. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration Memorial Service will be held at Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob-Judsonia.
