Carol Elizabeth Boothe

Ms. Carol Elizabeth “Googie” Boothe, aged 68, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Searcy, Arkansas, after a brief illness at the Advanced Care Hospital of White Country. Born on July 31, 1958, at St. Paul Hospital in Livermore, California. Carol lived a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family and faith. Growing up in Livermore, California, Carol attended public schools and graduated from Granada High School as part of the Class of 1976. Her career spanned various industries in California, including silk screening and the airline industry. In 2005, she relocated to Searcy, Arkansas, where she continued her professional journey until retiring from Economic Recovery Consultants Inc. in 2023. Carol shared a loving partnership with her husband Curtis, for 30 years; they celebrated 23 years of marriage together in Searcy. She is also survived by her mother, Shelagh Boothe of Searcy; her brother, Stephen Boothe and his wife, Kerry of Livermore; cousins, Judy Foot of De Valles Buff, Arkansas; Diane Huntley of Leslie, Arkansas; and Garielle Reyniers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; as well as her best friend, Gina Smith of Los Gatos, California. Carol was cherished by many other cousins locally and abroad. She was predeceased by her father, Wallace Boothe of Searcy, grandmothers, Roxie Boothe Guss of Hazon, Arkansas and Julia Dunning of Adeliade, South Australia, grandfather, Alfred Dunning of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and several beloved uncles and aunts; Alvin and Catherine Wheatly of Searcy, Arkansas, Henry (Harry) Dunning of Llandudno, North Wales, Anthony (Tony) Dunning of Adelaide, South Australia, Julia Gordon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Derek and Dorthy Hutton of Christchurch, New Zealand. Carol’s life was enriched by her many interests and talents. She found joy in spending time with family and nature, expressing herself through visual arts- especially drawing- and immersing herself in music with a particular fondness for Rock and Roll. She enjoyed documentaries like “Big History” and had a deep affection for animals, especially four-legged companions. A woman of strong Christian values, Carol believed deeply in doing what is right, telling the truth, loving family unconditionally, forgiving others’ shortcomings, and helping those in need whenever possible. These principles guided her life and left an enduring legacy for those who knew her. A private service will be held at a later date.
