Jason McInturff

Jason Brent McInturff, age 42 of Searcy, died May 25, 2013. Jason, beloved daddy, husband, son, brother, and friend, we miss you more than our broken hearts can feebly express. And yet,what a privilege to remember how beautifully you gave yourself away while you shared this side of heaven with us. Oh how your smile infected a room, filled with your easy sway and laid back way of saying, "It is what it is!" How your gentle pursuing of those you were crazy about was so faithful to us! The phone calls to us on your own birthday, and the way you never forgot our special occasions. You were the perfect balance of rough-and-tumble "gotta go fishin" masculinity and "wait, something's wrong!" intuitiveness that usually only the gentler gender possesses. The way you shepherded your little boys when Nic and Eli were young – no daddy ever nurtured, loved, or was more proud of sons than you. If you had a windowed voice today from the throne room of Heaven, we know you would tell them, "Live for Jesus! Nothing….no one compares to Him!" Thank you for filling our lives with forty-two years of gentle embraces, sometimes bad jokes, a warrior's heart to protect, your infectious passion for God's creation, your relentless ability to drag home any animal that you thought needed you, your tedious desire to argue any point at any time from any, any, any arena of life, for giving the plaid shirt and holey jeans off your own back to anyone in need, and for having a loud voice and a soft heart. We're not sure whether we'll kick your tail or smother you with kisses once we step into eternity, but until then, know how intensely you are loved by Nicholas and Elijah, Stephanie, Mom and Tom, Dad and Anne, Leah and family, Tamra and family, Tammy, and all your multitude of other family and friends. We're so thrilled that you are hanging out with Shane, Lisa, Mamaw Pauline and Grandaddy Delbert, and Mamaw Mc and Grandaddy Mc this very moment. We'll be celebrating your life at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy on Friday, May 31, 2013. Family can visit at 1:00, and the service will be at 2:00.
