Mr. John "Shannon" Denison

John Shannon Denison born on July 10th, 1938, peacefully departed this life August 18, 2023 at age 85, in his home where he said he would with his beloved wife at his side. Shannon gave his life to Christ many years ago, and his life showed that with his generosity, morals, prayer life and his devotion to family and his wife. His children are grateful to have been raised by someone who taught them to be strong and respectful. His children enjoyed being raised on the farm and working alongside him and learning life lessons and building relationships at the same time. If you ever met Shannon, you would never forget him and his quick wit, his dedication to manners, loyalty, and good grammar. In a group of people, he was always the one you wanted to sit by if you wanted to catch his quick humor and comments. In his lifetime of work he owned a trucking business, worked at a brick factory where he lost two fingers that his grandchildren and great grandchildren always liked to make up stories about. Eventually, he became a rancher where he owned beef cattle and gave his grandchildren rides on the tractor while feeding the cows. You could catch him spoiling his grandchildren with whoppers and chocolate malt-O-meal while correcting their grammar at the same time. When Shannon retired, at first he traveled the United States with his wife capturing the beauty of the country with many pictures while having their adventures. After he was finished traveling, he enjoyed a quiet life with his best friend Judy making trips to Wal* Mart and Chic- Fil- A and attending church. Shannon is survived by the love of his life, partner in life, best friend of 56 years, Judy Denison; four children, Scott Denison (Dorothy) of Texas , Johnny Pitner of Rose Bud, Jana Boyd of Rose Bud, Joel Denison of Rose Bud; an adopted daughter/ grandchild Stacy Denison; eight grandchildren, Shana Barnett (Jason), Justin Stacy, Amanda Farris (Sam), Jesse Pitner, Jason Denison (Lauren), Silvia Madron, Sara Martin (Dalton) , Jacob Denison (Kayla); twelve great grandchildren, Mia Stacy, Kyle Baker, Anna Barnett, Riley Farris, Jack Farris, Nathan Farris, Lane Farris, Konner Denison, Ethan Denison, Logan Denison, Grayson Dension, Sean Denison. He is also survived by many friends and family that he made a lasting impact on their lives. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Glenda Denison and his brother Russell Denison (Gwen).
