Mary Ruth Henderson

Mary Ruth Henderson, age 84, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home April 15, 2023, surrounded by her daughters and her son-in-law Mike. Mary was born May 5, 1938 in Ward, AR to the late Hubert Harold (Pete) Smith and Gladys Pearl (Bryant) Hite. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Jimmie Ray Henderson, by her parents and by her half-sister Sheila Bynum. Survivors are her daughters Mary Elizabeth Bailey (Mike) and Beverly Renee Hallman-Marsh, by her sister Lois Rutledge (Bill), her 5 grandchildren, Cory Hill (Sheila), Sarah Allen (Ray), Ashley Robinson (Mark), Justin Bailey (April) and Josh Bailey (Kristen), her 9 great grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Izabella, Jayde, Savanna, Aidan, Skylar, Brooks, Miles, and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and step-son Derrick Dickson (Sheila), and step-daughter, Regail Moritz (Randy) and dear friends Jean, Jan, Kathy and Betty. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Mary was a housewife; she loved to bake and enjoy the finer things in life. She loved to shop, and you would never catch her without her perfectly applied lipstick or polished nails. She loved all things beautiful, flowers, a manicured lawn, collecting rabbits and her car to shine. She was a classy lady with a touch of sass. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be loved by her. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, 2:00 pm, April 22, 2023, from the chapel of Searcy Powell Funeral Home with Bro. James Hays officiating. Entombment will follow at White County Gardens mausoleum with Mike Parsley, Michael Barnett, Ethan Hill, Aidan Clark, Cory Hill and Skylar Robinson serving as pallbearers. Mike Bailey and Mark Robinson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 pm until service at 2:00 pm. The family will be accepting flowers, but should you extend your love with a memorial contribution, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Searcy, 112 Johnson Road, Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
