It is with both deep sorrow and immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Roach, age 77, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Married for 59 years to the love of her life, Robyn, their marriage was a shining example of enduring love, faith, and commitment. Together, they built a strong, close-knit family, raising three children who each carry her warmth and strength in their hearts. Her legacy lives on through her children and their spouses, six adoring grandchildren, and six precious great-grandchildren—each of whom brought her endless joy and laughter. Mary was a devoted mother to Reggie (Beth) Roach, Eric (Michelle) Roach, and Robbie (Cory) Matthews, and loving MawMaw to grandchildren, Reginald, Josh (Alexis), Rebekah (Austin), Micah (Hunter), Hailey, and Fallon, and cherished Great MawMaw to beautiful great grandchildren. Mary was a woman of deep faith and boundless love. Her devotion to Jesus, her family, her church family, and her many dear friends was the guiding light of her life. She lived to serve others, whether through a warm meal in her bustling kitchen, a carefully planned family gathering, or a quiet, thoughtful gesture that made you feel seen and loved. She had a playful, mischievous spirit that kept everyone on their toes—and smiling. Whether she was giggling through a game with the kids, hosting sleepovers and birthday pool parties, or cheering loudly from the bleachers at countless ballgames, she gave herself fully to the moment. Her laughter filled every room. Her presence lit up every heart. Mary cherished capturing memories. She was always trying to gather everyone for “just one more family picture,” determined to preserve the love that surrounded her. She also had a special way of sharing her faith with her grandchildren—often singing “Jesus Loves Me” with them, planting seeds of love and truth in their young hearts. A woman of grace and style, Mary was never seen without her signature look—perfectly chosen outfits, matching jewelry, and her makeup just so. She loved flowers and found peace and joy in her garden, where beauty and life flourished under her tender care. Mary leaves behind a life marked by joy, generosity, and unwavering faith. She taught us how to love deeply, give freely, and live fully. We will miss her hugs, her humor, her wisdom, and the way she made every person feel like the most important one in the room. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice knowing she is now in eternal peace, welcomed into Heaven with open arms. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and great grandson. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 2:00pm, at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
