Steven William Reed

Steven William Reed born January 14, 1991 to Stacy J. Reed and Darrin W. Reed. Steven departed this life on July 09, 2018 at the age of 27. Steven was preceded in death by his grandpa, Billy Joe Selvidge; grandmother, Wanda Leigh Womack Selvidge; grandmother, Helen Ruth McGee Reed. He is survived by his parents, Stacy and Darrin Reed of Shoffner, Arkansas; one brother, Justin Reed and wife Dusty of Remmel; one nephew, Matthew Owen Reed of Remmel; one grandfather, Larry Reed of Oil Trough; lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Steven was known for his politeness and kindness to others. He had an open heart and loved to help people in need. He couldn’t turn his back or say no to anyone who asked. He loved music and turned to it to help express what he was feeling. He had a hug for anybody willing to accept it. His smile could light up the night. Life radiated from this young man. Family was everything to Steve. His nephew Matt meant the world to him. He loved spending time with him and he worked with Matthew this summer in the fields. Matthew was in high heaven because Uncle Steve let him help. He left good impressions for that young man to remember. His mom and dad were his rock. He adored them and knew he could count on them. He was their baby, so you know he was maybe a little spoiled. But we all like to be spoiled. They love this young man with their whole hearts. Their comfort in the days ahead is that Jesus will watch over him now. His family gone on before will take good care of Steve. His brother Justin, what can I say, brothers fight and make up. You let someone hurt your brother and look out. That is a bond that nobody, not even death can break. He looked up to Justin and admired him. It showed when he was with him. Justin was a good example to Steve and should be proud to have had such a wonderful young man to call Brother. Steve’s love for Dusty, his sister, was evident. He depended on her a lot. Dusty being the big sister-in-law took him under her wing and tried to help in any way she could. I have heard her give him a few lectures and he listened. Love is what makes a family cemented together and it was there with Steve and all these mentioned. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home.
